Unheard of Kogoro backstory being introduced in these filler episodes

My one character flaw is liking Kogoro. Like not even the show itself wants people to like him how did this happen to me

I hate this show!! Just when you think Kogoro is gonna have meaningful scene or episode they pull some bullshit in the after credits scene like that. Like they did that in Kogoro's class reunion episode too!! And that's THE Kogoro episode that's supposed to be serious !!! Can't have shit in Beika

I love Mouri Kogoro. And what made you think that this show did not want people to like Kogoro? Did you do a survey of who likes and who doesn't like Kogoro?

As if the show loves you. Conan used his stun-gun wristwatch on Kogoro here because Kogoro had such a deep respect and trust for his senpai that he couldn't believe or accept the fact that his senpai could be a killer.
And in the Kogoro's class reunion episode, Conan did everything he could to give Kogoro hints, which is why Kogoro solved the case on his own. I mean, without Conan using his wristwatch to him.

And if you want more credits for Mouri Kogoro, why don't you contact their company and beg them to change the title to Meitantei Mouri Kogoro?

I mean, I think most of them are but.. with a show of this length and variety it's hard to expect all the episodes to be good y'know

Ah, it's complicated... Kogoro is one of the main three characters and has a lot of screentime, so you'd think they want the viewer to like him. But then they go and give him some pretty unlikeable character traits, like his alcoholism and pervertedness and arrogance. So, to me, it seems unclear what the show actually wants us to think of him. I mean I've seen lots of people who like him and lots who don't so..

Ah, again, I don't actually hate the show. It's one of my favorites actually, I mean I am watching and commenting on every episode y'know. Of course there are certain aspects of it I do actually dislike (as with anything), which is more of what I meant there. Like, this show'll often have a really serious moment for Kogoro, then in the after credits scene, they'll have him do some gross perverted thing that's supposed to be funny, and it just undermines all the seriousness before. And I was just trying to say I don't really like that. But yeah, that wasn't clear so I can't blame you

To be honest kogoro acting like that is nothing new after all he’s kinda like the sanji of one piece sometimes I personally don’t have high expectations for his character anyway .It’s usually Conan and ran whenever I think who’s important in the show

I mean the animation quality for the show has always been decent I wouldn’t say they go all out but yeah sometimes the hype for most of them feel odd but hey it’s better than what naruto shippuden brings

To be fair kogoro is always a comic relief the only good thing about him is he cares for his daughter
